Tommy Walsh and Tullaroan will be playing intermediate hurling next season

JJ Delaney’s Fenians side were victorious in today’s relegation final.

Fenians 3-10

Tullaroan 0-8

THE MOST SUCCESSFUL team in Kilkenny senior club history will be playing intermediate hurling next season after losing their relegation final with Fenians in Freshford this afternoon.

Despite having 20 Tom Walsh Cups to their name, the last of which came in 1994, Tullaroan were blown away in the first half as Fenians found the back of the net three times to lead 3-5 to 0-3 at the break.

JJ Delaney’s side, who also overcame Graigue Ballycallan in the 2013 relegation decider, added just five points in the second half but it was enough for them to secure their senior status for another year.
